Luke 18 records Jesus telling the parable of the persistent widow. She pesters the unjust judge until he gives her justice. Jesus points out that if persistence pays with selfish people, how much more with the loving God? The parable presumes God is not into instant results as we are. We will need to be persistent in prayer.
