In the last chapter of John, Jesus asks Peter, "Do you love me?" three times. Peter had denied Jesus three times only hours after declaring he would die for Jesus. In his ministry, Jesus gave some strong warnings about denying him. Would Jesus forgive Peter? The exchange between Jesus and Peter covers the importance of loving Christ's church, sacrificing personal wishes to follow Jesus and the desire to know when the end will come.
